Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA) Study

LOPA or level of protection analysis is a study developed based on a risk identification analysis (eg HAZOP)
 
The purpose of the study is to find the weakness of the system and to evaluate the risk.
LOPA is also used to comply with IEC 61511/ISA 84.
